Sarah Harshaw- (Most people just call her ‘Harshaw’) was born in Houston, Texas and raised in the Austin, Texas area. Sarah cut her teeth in the world of food and beverage at her parents’ German restaurant in tiny Walburg, Tx. From rolling silverware to learning how to make sauerkraut- her interest in the food and wines of other cultures have been a consistent passion in her life. After bartending and waiting tables to pay her way through college, she graduated with a degree in International Business and International Studies. The knowledgeable and passionate individuals she met throughout her restaurant career led her deep into the world of wine. After years of selling, educating, working in cellars, harvesting, and now managing her second domestic winery on the Pacific Coast, she’s happy to call Disruption Wine Company home. Sarah and her husband Jeff reside happily in the Bywater of New Orleans along with their turtle, “Turtle”.
