DISRUPTION CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2018WINE: Our single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is robust, yet elegant, with powerful structure. On the nose, the wine offers aromas of sunbaked earth and lots of ripe berry fruit. The texture is smooth and round, with lasting flavors of rhubarb, black plum, and a touch of cedar from time in French oak barrels. The finish goes on and on with outstanding acidity to balance the tannin structure.
VINEYARD: The Wahluke Slope Vineyard is positioned on a broad south-facing slope with a constant, gentle grade that allows for perfect drainage. This uniquely situated microclimate keeps vines safe from frost. The higher elevation, approximately 1,100 feet above sea level, experiences wind in the vineyard, resulting in small grape clusters with high concentrations. The site's uniformity in aspect, soil type, and climate make it distinct. Two thousand eighteen is one of the best vintages for Washington State in recent memory. It began with a warm spring, then a hot summer followed by a perfectly cool, but not cold, fall that allowed ideal conditions to pick at leisure. "All of the fruit for this wine comes from the Wahluke Slope. Slightly reductive aromas of gun smoke are followed by notes of graphite, black currant and green pepper. The palate is full of black fruit flavors with a firm but not unyielding sense of structure. The balance is impressive at this price."

"The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon (82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Petit Verdot and the rest Merlot and Malbec) offers purity and finesse, as well as notions of black currants, spring flowers, violets and underbrush. It is medium-bodied, nicely balanced and straight-up delicious. This cuvee is sourced mostly from the Wahluke Slope and is a smoking value!"
