THE WINE The 2015 Disruption Wine Company Chardonnay is a versatile, crowd-pleasing wine that is made in a classic, refined style. Calcium-rich, basalt derived soils in the vineyard are packed with caliche and gravel that give the wine a complex minerality. An Old-World approach in the winery provides a clean wine that is a perfect choice for many food pairings or can stand alone as an aperitif.
WINEMAKING The majority of the fruit for this wine was sourced from the Evergreen Vineyard in the Ancient Lakes AVA. This cool climate site has long been considered one of the finest sources for white wine grapes in Washington State. The addition of a touch of fruit from the much warmer Two Mountain vineyard provides body and complexity. Vinification in stainless steel keeps the style super clean. Twenty percent went through malolactic fermentation and 8 months on the lees, with weekly hand- stirring, imparts a creaminess and rounds out the mouthfeel.
VINEYARDS 94% Evergreen Vineyard & 6% Two Mountain Vineyard
TASTING NOTES This is a very precise style of Chardonnay. Aromas and flavors of lemon and apple are complemented by notes of brioche imparted by the lees contact and gentle hand-stirring.
FOOD PAIRINGS Enjoy it with a dish of fresh fish and veggies or on its own as an aperitif.

"Most of this wine comes from esteemed Evergreen Vineyard in the Ancient Lakes appellation. It charms with aromas of green apple, Bosc pear and mineral. The flavors are medium bodied and pure, with a lightly creamy feel and a zing of acidity stitching it all together. The balance is spot-on." Score on the Disruption 2015 Chardonnay
