Our 2016 Red Wine shows the fervor of Bordeaux and Rhône varieties from Columbia Valley. Aromas of homemade raspberry preserves and spice jump from the glass. Flavors of cooked berries harmonize with plum and rhubarb. Cabernet Sauvignon is the backbone, providing structure from older vines. Syrah brings spice and fragrant, high-toned aromas. Merlot provides the berry fruit, rounding out a complex and layered wine. Fifteen percent of the wine is aged in new French oak barrels with the balance in neutral casks.
FOOD PAIRING: This wine is incredibly versatile and can be paired with a number of dishes. We love it with pork tenderloin hot off the grill.
